One of if not the stupidest thing I've ever done

First off, Merry Christmas to everyone. Second, it seems Santa should have brought me a new garage door or at least the two bottom panels. 

So last night on Christmas Eve 2024 I was backing into our driveway like I have for over a year. As I was pulling into the garage I didn't notice it was still going up and hit the bottom of our garage door causing a very loud grinding noise. I thought I'd hit our trash can and wish I had. 

My wife and son worked with me for hours last night trying to get it somewhat working, but I knocked it off its hinges and bent the bottom two panels pretty bad. Now I will have a major expense and at this point I'm still numb from idiocy. 

So having no money will be great while getting it looked at. FML.
